Anderson Shelters in Year 4

17th Dec 2018

What a talented bunch of year 4 children,  parents and families we have in New Row!

We have really enjoyed our World War 2 topic. The children have been so enthusiastic and eager to find out lots of information about all the different aspects of the war - including rationing, types of planes used, evacuation and even war time recipes.

As a project over the last 2 weeks the children have worked with their parents and families and made their own versions of an Anderson shelter. What I loved about the Shelters they produced is that each one is so different. I’m so proud of all the year 4s and I know in the future we will have a few engineers and architects after looking at their planning, design sketches and finished products.

Well done 👍
