In Year 5 have we been very busy settling into term 1.
The children have been reading many new books and doing lots of quizzes using our Accelerated Reading programme. They have written poems and are also learning all about newspaper reports. Our class novel this half term is ‘The Sleeping Sword’ by Michael Morpurgo which everyone loves. They especially love the main character called Bun Bundle and children have written some excellent character descriptions of him.
In maths they have been learning lots about larger numbers and they have solved a few money problems too! They have carried out cube investigations and are learning all about time.
In our topic work they are learning all about how our bodies work and how to be healthier. They are encouraging their families to be healthier too!!
